We know how intimidating visiting a church can be, so we would like to answer some frequently asked questions. First and foremost, do not worry—the building will not collapse once you enter. If anything, you are our VIP Guest and we want to make sure that you enjoy the worship experience at CityLights Church. Below you will find answers to questions like: "What should I wear?"" Where do I park?" and "Where do my kids go?". If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us or visit the Connection Team Counter.
This is by far one of the most frequently asked questions. Our answer: come as you are. Be YOU. We want you to feel comfortable. You will quickly see that we are a diverse church and everyone has their own personality and their own sense of style. We are excited that you are joining us, and want you to be more focused on the service than on what you are wearing. (Hint: majority of the time the pastor is in jeans) You will fit in no matter what you decide to wear—just make it out!
Services are now on Saturday evenings at 6:30 p.m. Be sure to make it out on time! We do not want you to miss the worship experience. During this time, we shut out the distractions of our busy world with worship that features music from classical to contemporary. All services typically last 75 minutes.
Little Lights is the perfect place for your children to go while you attend service. At CityLights, we do our best to ensure that your children experience God and his unconditional love at any age. We use age-appropriate language and activities that will engage your children. It is our desire to see our children become passionate and powerful disciples and leaders. If you would like your children to attend Little Lights, visit the Children's Welcome Center. Your children will be checked in, and you will receive a receipt sticker, which you will need in order to pick up your child. For the safety and security of your child, it is important that you keep track of your receipt sticker. This helps us know that you are the person authorized to pick up your child.
The main parking lot is adjacent to the church, with an entrance located right on Cicero Ave. You may park in any available spot; there is no reserved parking. If you need any assistance, we have staff outside in the parking lots available to assist you.
If you are a first time VIP guest, we don't expect you to give an offering. If you consider CityLights your church home, we'd love for you to consider giving to CityLights as a sign of worship. You can give by check, credit card, or cash during the service, or you can give right here online.
