So you’ve started attending CityLights Church, now what?
A Community Group is the best place to form strong relationships with other believers. At City Lights, Community Groups serve as the primary way to connect with others in the body, through studying the Bible, serving God and one another, and growing together. If you are going through a difficult time, this is a good place to find mutual support, practical answers, and encouragement to grow. Community Group also allows us to sharpen one another so that we are continually transformed into the image of Christ. To learn more about Community Groups or to find one in your area, click here.
Weekly church attendance is in no sense “required”, but aside from Community Groups, Sunday service is the place we gather and worship God together, receive His Word, and fellowship with each other. Now that you have trusted Jesus Christ for salvation, you are a member of the body of Christ. We believe Church attendance, participation, and fellowship are key elements of a believer’s life. We even offer pick up services for those who do not have transportation to make it on Sunday mornings. For info on the bus route and to sign up for a ride, click here.
Baptism is our way of telling the world about our relationship with Christ. The action of being immersed in the water symbolizes dying and being buried with Christ. The action of coming out of the water is symbolic Christ’s resurrection and our entering into a new life in Christ. At CityLights Baptism service is our favorite thing to do! We love seeing people touched by the power of God as they enter into a new relationship with the Lord Jesus and making a public declaration of their faith. It really is a beautiful experience.
