24 Grace be with all who love our Lord Jesus Christ with love incorruptible.

Reflection on This Scripture

Paul’s last statement in his letter to the Ephesians ends with his desire that grace flow in in them.  Grace is one of the key themes that Paul wrote about.  Let’s look at some verses in the letter to the Ephesians where grace is mentioned.

GOD’S GRACE BLESSES US

Ephesians 1:6 – “to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.”

GOD’S GRACE FORGIVES OUR SINS

Ephesians 1:7 – “In him we have the redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,”

GOD’S GRACE SAVES US AND MAKES US ALIVE

Ephesians 2:5 – “even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ – by grace you have been saved – “

GOD’S GRACE IS IMMEASURABLE IN RICHES AND KINDNESS

Ephesians 2:7 – “so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”

GOD’S GRACE IS A GIFT

Ephesians 2:8 – “For by grace you have been saved throdugh faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God.”

GOD’S GRACE GIVES SPIRITUAL GIFTS FOR ALL BELIEVERS

Ephesians 4:7 – “But grace was given to each one of us according to the measure of Christ’s gift.”

Grace is an important theme in the letter to the Ephesians.  Grace saves sinners and empowers saved sinners to grow in Jesus.  Believers must daily remind themselves of the saving grace shown to them on the cross and tap into that same grace to live lives that yield to the Holy Spirit so that they grow in the likeness of Christ.  Because believers have been loved by Christ, they can respond to Chris with love through the empowering grace of God.  His grace has blessed you, forgave you, made you alive, enriched you, equipped you and gave you the necessary gifts to serve the local church body and love back your Creator.
