Woke up this morning at 330am with my mind racing… My due date is next weekend and I was thinking about having this baby… Thinking about how the days keep passing… Wondering when is he gonna be born… How I just want him in my arms already… Wondering what my baby looks like… Praying he is completely healthy… Thinking about the how and when and where … And on and on and on…
Isn’t it funny how every good thing in our lives requires patience and trust? God has promised to do good to us.. To give us the desires of our hearts… And even as the promise is coming… We go through a season of waiting… And even struggling with doubt and fear as we wait… Until we get to the point where we trust that what He said, He will do. Because He loves us.
So after 3 hours of just thinking and fighting all sorts of thoughts, especially the negative ones… I got up and went to my living room and turned on the Donnie McClurkin song “I trust you lord” (http://youtu.be/kpCGZrM8EBU)… And simply worshiped… Sitting in his presence ministered to me… And was enough to calm all my fears and worries.
And I decided again …I will trust the Lord..
Just thought I would share this for anyone who is struggling to trust Jesus… Whatever it may be… However long it seems to be taking… No matter how many people around you discourage you.
Tell him how you feel… Lay it all down and TRUST THE ONE WHO LOVES YOU!
1 Peter 5:7
Let Him have all your worries and cares, for He is always thinking about you and watching everything that concerns you.
Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs, and don’t forget to thank Him for His answers. If you do this, you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ.
Do not let this happy trust in the Lord die away, no matter what happens. Remember your reward! You need to keep on patiently doing God’s will if you want Him to do for you all that He has promised. His coming will not be delayed much longer. And those whose faith has made them good in God’s sight must live by faith, trusting Him in everything. Otherwise, if they shrink back, God will have no pleasure in them.
He will keep in perfect peace all those who trust in Him, whose thoughts turn often to the Lord! Trust in the Lord always, for in the Lord, Jehovah, is your everlasting strength.
We are saved by trusting. And trusting means looking forward to getting something we don’t yet have – for a man who already has something doesn’t need to hope and trust that he will get it. But if we must keep trusting God for something that hasn’t happened yet, it teaches us to wait patiently and confidently.
And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into His plans.
